American Kennel Club Orthopedic Crate Pet Bed, 30 by 22-Inch, Brown

Great bed
My older dog needs a washable supportive bed, this is perfect. It offers support, but has removable washable cover as well.
Smaller than advertised!!
overall I like this bed and I think my dogs will too (havent put it down for them yet) but the bed is NOT the size they advertise!! My bed labeled as a 30x22x3 is actually 28x21x3. I quite honestly am a little upset that the bed is smaller than I expected!!
My dog likes it
I like it....my dog likes it, what more can I say? Good product, fair price, I would purchase item again if I needed another.

Petstages Flashing Firefly Play Mat for Cats

Doesn't do what it says
I tried to give it zero stars...but my review would not pubish. this product just doesn't do it. I can make it work but not a cat !. You have to know exactly where to pound to make the lights work...they only start if you hit the battery box. so the poor cat just gets interested, the lights turn off...the cat is batting & batting away at the mat and nothing happens. the lights stay off. the cat walks away. Boo Hoo. It's a waste of money. I hope I can get a refund !
Takes a lot to start the flashing
This is a nicely made and likely very durable product that does what it claims. Although it "works" it takes a bit of effort, even pounding, for a human to get it started. The much lighter efforts of a cat seldom set it off, so its use is limited. If a more sensitive motion/touch sensor were used it would be much, much better.

I'm not rating this on my own cat's low interest, since lights don't "do" much for her, only da bird actually gets her playing. I got this mainly because I plan on shortly adopting a kitten soon.
Cat and caretaker approved!
My cats love the Flashing Firefly Play Mat, mostly to lay on. One goes after the flashing lights occasionally, but mostly he loves running and jumping on it and "riding" as it slides across the floor. I don't know why more cat toys aren't the nylon-type fabric--easy to clean.

Paradise Toys Vibrant Cluster, 6-Inch W by 15-Inch L

Goffin pleaser
Kilo, a goffin cockatoo, picks this toy as one of his ultimate favorites. He especially loves the dangling rings. He likes to untwist them and pull them apart. I find little pieces of it all over his area... he goes to the floor and retrieves them to chew on them more, the gift that keeps on giving ;-) The twine balls are always the last to go, he usually leaves a couple untouched, but I reuse them to make other toys. My only wish is that there were more little rings on each of these toys so his joy could last longer! I buy this toy at least once a month and totally recommend it.
My Cockatiels love this toy!
So glad to find this item on Amazon since the price was better than on some other sites. This toy lasts a long time and provides my birds with healthy activity. One of my birds even naps on top of the cluster ball!
a fun toy for my African grey parrots
I hang one of these on the manzanita tree every month and my parrots fight over it. It lasts a fairly long time since the balls and "chain" are made of wicker.

PetSafe Squeeze Meeze Latex Dog Toy, Octopus

got this same exact dragon in Jr version... dog loved it, but destroyed in 2 days.
I have a 7 month old schnoodle. He's only 10 lbs but while he's been teething he's been capable of destroying everything! He was initially very careful with this dragon. He would creep up to it and lick its tongue.. then run away when we squeezed it and the tongue flipped out.. after some introduction, he was all over this thing. Absolutely loved it. 1 day later we looked at the poor dragon and his tongue was missing! and one of his toes were gone too... :( I thought it would be more durable then it was.. I'm sure our puppy ended up eating these missing rubber parts despite our careful supervision. Also, we were concerned about the make/ coloring of the dragon. This was made in China? is there a possibility of lead in the coloring? (flashback; all the toy recalls in china).. Our puppy never got sick or anything, just our paranoid thoughts. anyway, though our puppy loved it, this is why I gave it only 3 stars.
My pooch loved it!
My little French bulldog can be picky about toys and hard on them. He loved this dragon and the latex, although soft enough for him to chew, is tough enough that he hasn't been able to tear the tongue or the wings off the dragon. With most pet toys he has already destroyed them before they are a few days old. And the squeak effect coupled with the recoiling tongue and tail drive him crazy. He loves this toy!
Excellent Choice
Tough, and durable. Terriers can destroy anything, but this dragon keeps hanging around. Has outlasted many, many latex chew toys. An excellent value. Dog's favorite toy.

Resco Chrome Original Dog Nail Trimmer, Small and Medium

What professionals use
My Resco nail trimmer still works well after 20 years; however, it needed replacing after it, along with much of my grooming equipment, rusted - must have been the way I was storing it. The old nail trimmer was for my personal use, so it was used perhaps once a month on a couple of dogs. As a former professional dog groomer who worked in animal hospitals, I know that even if groomers and veterinarians use other nail clippers, they also have Resco trimmers. However, I only knew one person who could change the blades. Everyone else purchased new trimmers when the blade became dull.

The Resco trimmer received in this purchase was blue with black rubber handles, unexpected, as I didn't know Resco produced anything other than the chrome model. No extra blades were included. This new trimmer takes a little less effort to use than my old chrome one. Perhaps technology has improved in the last couple of decades.

I use Resco trimmers because they allow me to see where I'm...
Second Time Purchase
Always had a Resco nail trimmer for my dogs and somehow, during a move, lost it. Purchased a replacement and am very happy again.
Tried other trimmers, but this one is a classic and works the best for my dog's nails.
Requires the Skill of a Swiss Watchmaker
Sure, this nail trimmer slices through dog nails like butter--when the blade is sharp. But herein lies the problem: changing the blade requires the skill and patience of a Swiss watchmaker.

This nail trimmer disappointed me in three ways. First, it was inoperable when I first opened the package. The blade was jammed into the back of the handle, and I spent about an hour prying out the jammed blade and aligning it properly. Secondly, my trimmer was missing the black rubbery grips that the photo illustrates. Instead, mine is just chrome--shiny, but slippery, which doesn't make trimming the nails of a squirming dog any easier. Third, upon opening the package, the dark metal loop, or "guillotine" as they say in the "biz" appeared to be developing rust spots. It also appeared bent. How is the sharp blade supposed to slide against this curved piece of metal? Buyers should also beware that they must buy replacement blades as well as lubricating oil if they expect to use it more...

Farm Innovators Drain Plug De-Icer For Rubbermaid? Stock Tanks Model DPH-15, 1,500-Watt

Good quality product
Confusingly this unit shipped with a flyer from the manufacturer offering to sell me a thermal cube to turn the unit on at 40 degrees and below, but this unit already does that.
It is a perfect fit for our Rubbermaid stock tank, unlike the 'universal' unit we replaced.
The element is kept away from our inquisitive horses with no risk of it being pulled from the tank.

When installed, you lose the ability to use a drain valve to empty the tank. We bought a replacement drain valve STOCK TANK DRAIN PLUG - Gray and drilled a hole on the other side of the tank so we can still easily empty the tank.
It works but costs a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$
I bought this unit as a way to heat my 100 gallon water tank for my horses. It works really well in my rubber-maid tank, no leaks or anything. The water temperature is cool to touch, not warm as other people have described but then I have a 100 gallon tank. However, for anyone that is concerned about their electric bill, take it from me, it will double it. I did not realize this. I will have to look for another solution. I wish I had researched this first. A friend told me that using this 1,500-watt device is like having 15 100 watt light bulbs on 24 hours a day. Enough said.
Works as designed
I was worried about the leaking around the connection that I had read but with the proper tools was able to tighten it right the first time. No problem with water being too warm, keeps it cool. Electricity usage appears minimal although I am only using it at night right now and our New England winter has been mild so far. Design keeps it away from my curious horses. Only complaint is the short cord.

Platinum Pets Triple Modern Diner Stand with 8oz Stainless Steel Pet Bowls in Midnight Black

Perfect for the sophisticated THREE BOWL CAT!
We just bought a new home and wanted to replace the 3 odd bowls we had for our cat's Dry Food, Wet Food and Water with something more sophisticated looking. I could only find "2 bowl" sets in the stores. AND we love the black color. It took her about a minute to get used to the bowls being elevated and the bowls are lighter than I thought they would be. The black does look dusty but her bowls sit by the dryer. Easy clean up! I pick up the whole thing to take to the sink instead of having to take the individual bowls. AND I think she makes less of a mess around her feeding area.
Size matters
These bowls look great (the black enamel finish goes great in my kitchen) and the stand that elevates them off the ground is very convenient. The cats seem more comfortable eating out of these bowls, and I like that it's easy to clean under them with a vacuum hose without lifting the bowls. How lazy is that? But it's little conveniences like these that you pay for.

My issue here, as others have noted, is the size. These bowls ARE smaller than I expected them to be. They're not too small by any means, but I'd have like a bit more capacity. As it is, I have to refill the bowls 1-2 times a day. Not the end of the world at all, but if you're away for more than a day or two at a time, you'll need to supplement these bowls by leaving food out in a few other containers around the kitchen/house.
Dish
Just a heads up because I didn't pay attention when ordering it. This thing is TINY. Did not come close to holding the amount of food that my two pit bulls eat in a sitting. Pay attention to the size. I ordered the 24 oz and that size works great.

Pureness Large Cat Pan Liners, 12 Count

Tight fit and not very tough
My cat has torn these up pretty good. These do not have draw-strings on them either, so be prepared to dump the whole thing into a plastic garbage bag of its own to be sealed up. Yuck! The fit is very tight on the box I use to the point where the sides are almost coming off the lip of the box, yet there is the annoying bunch up of bag on the front and back. Going back to my other ones. They were too big, but at least they fit and they had draw-strings so I could do a run-and-dump into my garage garbage bags.
They work fine
I was glad to find these at Amazon after our local WalMart stopped selling them. In fact, they don't sell any large
cat pan liner now. Only the extra large. I tried to inform a handy employee about this and was told that this had been worked out carefully and that their stock was correct. Really? It was like talking to a computer. Didn't penetrate. Amazon to the rescue again.
Large cat pan liners...Pureness
These are the best fitting liners I have found .. I do add some masking tape to make sure they stay in place due to my cats and their scratching. Good price

Marchioro Nora 2C Litter Pan for Small Animals, 13.75 inches, Colors Vary

Purchase to litter train kittens
The normal size cat box was too big for some kittens to get in, and trays that were lower just enticed the momcat to get in and spread the litter everywhere. I purchased this as a way for the babies to get in and use it and to keep the mom out. The problem would be that the "hood" part doesn't really attach to the bottom/tray part. So it easy falls of the tray and it's pretty useless at that point. It did work for one litter of kittens.
corner litter pan
I received this product in good time, it cost me around $27.00aus, delivery being more than the unit, but there was nothing like it to be bought in Australia after much searching.
I would like to have had physical dimensions given with product as it turned out to be a great size for miniature rabbits, guinea pigs etc but too small for a general sized rabbit which is what i was getting it for.
A good product otherwise.
Excellent enclosed litter pan for rabbits!
I had thought this was going to be too small for my 2-month-old bunny, Buddie, but my rabbit knew better. Although it's something of a tight squeeze when he's in it, he loves to hop in and do business, or just set a while inside grooming himself. I love it because the enclosed properties mean no more "over-the-rims" and no scatter of litter behind and around the sides of the litter box and outside his pen. If the rim under the door-hole was higher so that litter couldn't scatter out the front entrance when he gives a kick and comes flying out, that would be an improvement but it's a small price to pay for all the pluses. If you have a bunny, I highly recommend your getting it, but if your bunny is larger go with the 19 3/4 x 13 1/2 x 12 1/2" model, which I also have and my bunny uses both. If I can find a litter tracking mat that picks up Carefresh paperflakes-based litter, that'll take care of the litter that accumulates around the front of the litterbox. Does anyone have any...

Instant Ocean Sea Salt for Aquarium, 200-Gallon

Reliable salt
While aquarists debate and discuss which brand is the best, labs and universities continue to select Instant Ocean for their studies. Instant Ocean is one of the largest makers of marine salt in the world. They know what they are doing. On the other end of the spectrum you have true hand-made marine salt. I have made marine salt in a lab. I used 100% super purity chemicals and salts. It was a lengthy process and very expensive. We used the salts for years and also compared the tanks to Instant Ocean salts. There was no difference in the tanks. The lab no longer makes marine salt. It was easier to buy Instant Ocean.
Easy to use and reliable
I've been keeping marine aquariums, including reef tanks, for seven years now. That's not a terribly long time but it means I've done a ton of water changes by now ;). Even with all of these new special "reef salts", I still use regular Instant Ocean. The brand has been around for a long time and is therefore well tested and reliable. I often hear of issues with other salts, including IO's Reef Crystals, but good ol' regular Instant Ocean mixes clearly and without wacky water parameters every time. In addition to using it in my own tanks, I've always chosen to use this brand in the lab (marine ecology research) and it's the choice of most scientists.
Great value
This salt worked great in my little aquarium and you can not beat the value. One of the best brands of salt about.

Chuckit! Large Tennis Fanatic 3 inch

My dog's favorite toy
Both my doberman and my havanese love this toy. They are able to shred the rope and pull off pieces, though... it would be better if the rope were more resistant to that. If not for the pieces of rope all over, this would get 5 stars easily.
Fun product
Our rottweiler is great with these products because he cant destroy them. The "hair" can be shredded which ends up in his stomach or on the floor. I prefer just the balls. But its still a fun product.
great looking, not so rugged for the price
This is a great looking toy and chuckit always makes great products. However with this one my border collie took the ball, took one chew on the "hair" and the piece he bit chewed right in half and was swallowed all in one bite. Be careful with this toy, it is a fetch toy and not a chew toy obviously, but the quality of the rope hair is not that great and could pose problems to certain dogs.

Coralife 05692 Pure-Flo II 50-Gallon Per Day 4 Stage RO/DI System

Outperforming expectations
I have been using this product for 3 weeks. So far, I've made about 100 gallons of RO/DI water for my marine aquarium, and my only regret is not purchasing an DR/DI filter years ago. I just hook it up to my kitchen sink faucet. There was no need for crazy plumbing projects. I am a little bit concerned about the longevity of the filtering system. The initial batch came out at about 8 parts-per-million total-dissolved solids (ppm TDS), but I'm already up to 15 ppm. However, this is still a pretty low TDS, and I might even be contaminating it just by measuring or something, so I'm not too concerned yet. I do have a couple tips that might make your choice-of-purchase or set-up easier.

1) Unless you plan on installing some kind holding tank and auto-shut off, this filter takes time. Remember, 50 gallons per day is only about 2 gallons per hour. If you don't think you have the patience for that, consider upgrading to a higher GPD.

2) I read some reviews of RO filters...
No Pump
I have this RO filter and it works great. It should be noted that the picture (which has actually since been updated) showed, and the description mentions (still does), a pump which this unit DOES NOT have. Amazon, as always, was outstanding in their customer service when I called to advise of the lack of pump as described/pictured. They actually sent me a new one (actually OVERNIGHTED it to me!) and said "if new one still doesn't meet your expectations, we'll issue a refund". I LOVE Amazon!!! The new one arrived (which I promptly returned unopened) also with no pump. Further investigation revealed that Aqueon does make a model with a pump but the one for sale on Amazon is NOT that model. The one with the pump regularly sells at various web sites for $250 and up while this model (76002 I believe?) also regularly sells at various web sites for anywhere from $10-$80 more than what Amazon sells it for. Since the pump-less model is working fine for my needs and due to the fact...
As described
Purchased this item a few months after I had gotten my tank. In just the month since I purchased this machine the fish, corals and invertebrates in my tank seem healthier and happier. The unit itself puts out ample clean water and in around an hour I have the 5-7 gallons I need to do my weekly water change for my 60 gallon tank.

Setup was a breeze and the unit is small enough to allow me to store it under my stationary tub when it's not in use.

Safari Bristle Small-Medium Brush for Dogs with Wood Handle

Works fine but difficult to clean
The bristles and size are perfect for my dog's short hair. The bristles are nice and soft - I really think she enjoys the feeling of being brushed - and now that she's shedding the brush is picking up tons of hair. The hair stays in the brush, which is nice for brushing her inside, but it's time consuming to get the hair out and there is always some left behind that I just don't have the patience to remove.
Safari brush
I needed a brush for my Cairn terrier, this seemed like the one that kept coming up with my searches.
It's well made and the right size for a 15# dog with med. long hair.
Not for Yourself!
I have a fabulous old bristle brush that my husband started using on the cat. So I thought I would find a cheap replacement for myself. This brush does not work as a people brush. It seems to get some fur off the cat but if you really want to do a spring seasonal fur-relief job for your cat, buy the Furminator. It really works. We have a long-furred cat and got a huge amount of fur off her with the Furminator. And she was so relieved. It would have taken that little tongue all summer to do the same.

Hagen Exo Terra Reptile Cricket Feeder

Who came up with lame design?
I got this feeding rock at a local pet store and after opening it wondered "Who came up with lame design?

1. It opens in half (more like 1/3rd & 2/3rd's) but both half's don't lock together when closed. It's VERY "Sloppy" when put back together and can very easily come apart if not held tightly especially for little kids hands.

2. I buy my Crickets in bulk and getting them in the rock is a joke! They jump all over the place because the opening is the size of my fist.

3. The plug that closes the hole could be easily misplaced.

I got around all the problems by gluing the rock together (you can also use rubber bands) and putting a funnel in the hole and then dropping the crickets down the funnel into the (now glued together) rock.
But if you use medium to large crickets the end of the funnel clogs up with crickets so I drilled a larger hole in the bottom and close it with a wine cork and I also bought a larger ended funnel...
every cricket for them selfs!
I really like the idea of this but I purchase 35 small crickets for my beardie and dumped them in and i couldnt close the bottom lid fast enough and oops like 15 got free...not cool. >:/
Good for looks... Not worth the money
Don't even bother buying this unless you feel as if you have money to waste... absolute waste of money... not even worth the $1 worth of crickets i used this with...

Super Pet Critter Trail Triple Play 3 in One Habitat for Hamsters

Excellent cage!!!
We have been through cheap cages years ago which is always a problem. This cage was so nice that I purchased a smaller Crittertrail cage and extra tubes and our new teddy bear hamster seems really happy. Its made well and has the good water dispenser with the metal nozzle. The wheel is nice and he loves it. I just ordered a bunch of hamster treats from amazon so he will be set up well and be happy, which is all that counts.
Great Cage
This is a great cage for my hammie. I attached a smaller one to it and he has plenty of room to run around. He sleeps in the petting zone and stores extra food there as well. The wheel is very quiet and water bottle works well. He uses a potty, so the cage stays very clean and odor free. I clean his sleeping area about once a week. He's very happy with his home so that makes me happy. I would recommend this cage for your hammie. Easy to assemble.
We love it!
This is much more than a cage and our hamster (Nibbles) loves it! She loves the "penthouse" and we never even know she's running on the wheel because it's so quiet. We highly recommend it.

Kakadu Pet Empire Dog Leash Coupler, 1/2" x 9-15", Dusk (Pink)

Love this leash coupler!
I have two rambunctious female Havanese dogs who love to go for walks but were forever becoming entangled in each other's leash. I solved the problem by purchasing this leash coupler and pairing it with a double loop leash (4' and traffic length) as well as padded harnesses. Everything in various shades of pink, of course. One dog weighs 6.5 lbs. and the other weighs 17 lbs. Fortunately, I am able to shorten one side of the leash coupler to easily accommodate the difference in their sizes. Although the smaller dog likes to change sides every few feet, the girls no longer become entangled and walks are hassle-free. The leash coupler seems quite durable and definitely does the job! Highly recommended!
The Crowning Touch to Our Girls Ensmble!
We just adopted two older Chihuahuas from the Himane Society and of course had to girl it up with the accessories. This pink cupler is great, as when on separate leashes the girls sometimes like to run in opposite directions wrapping us up in their leashes. With the coupler we can easily walk the ladies on one leash, avoiding a Lilliputions vs Gulliver scenario..
Great for my two dogs!
This allows me to walk my two 10-15 lb dogs together on one leash without constant tangles. It even makes the younger dog feel more secure because she's right next to her "sister" when they walk, so she barks less at strangers and seems happier. The light pink color does get a bit dirty, but that's to be expected.

KONG Snugga Wubba Friend Dog Toy, Large, Assorted

Augie the corgi LOVES his wubbas
One of the first toys I bought my corgi pup was a wubba. He is now 3 and still loves his wubba. We've gone thorugh a few of them - he plays with them everyday - carries them everywhere. They are not indestructible but last a long time. He never seems to mind when one finally wears out - balls out and no legs left - he always loves the new one just as much.
Cannot kill the sqeaker
My dog destroys every toy. This one survives longer than most because she cannot kill the squeaker. Eventually she will pull the stuffing out. A different Wubba lasted less than 5 minutes because she decided to rip it apart immediately.
No Squeak?!?
Although these look really similar to the other Wubba these do not squeak. This is a bit of a bummer for my dog.

Catit Nylon Adjustable Cat Harness and Leash Set, Small, Red

Love it
This product works great on a small to medium cat, but does not fit my 13lb cat. There was some unintended consequences. Now my cat wants to go outside ALL the time and will try to dart out the door. (He never did that before).
Also difficult
The cat thinks it's beautiful, and it is indeed very becoming. But my stiff arthritic fingers cannot work the little plastic clips it uses in place of buckles.
She's not sure she appreciates the concept of a leash, anyway.
Good Job
Doing job well so far. It will take time for her to get used to it when warmer weather gets here.

Zack & Zoey Cotton Polo Dog Shirt, X-Small, 8-Inch, Parrot Green

Shrunk
I would recommend order the next size up if you buy this item. It fit good until it was washed and then it shrunk and is now too small.
Great quality shirt but runs EXTREMELY SMALL
This is a great basic polo, but it runs very small. I bought this shirt in x-s for my very small 4 pound poodle, and I went by the guidelines listed. This shirt was entirely too small, and I couldn't even get it on him. In fact it fit my 2.5 lb other little girl dog. It is a quality shirt, and I was disappointed to have to return it, but this particular shirt ran much smaller than its description. So if you do choose to order this, I would definitely go a size up. I am re-ordering the shirt in a larger size.
Doesn't fit right on a mastiff-type breed
Because of my dog's body shape, the shirt is much too tight across his chest and shoulders but a size up is much, much too big (which we tried - it's like a dress on him). If you have any other breed besides a mastiff or a bull terrier, it will probably fit a lot better.

I did give it an extra star for the quality of the material and stitching.

Dreambaby 10.5" Gate Extension, White

So Very Happy!
Obviously this was purchased to go with the Dreambaby gate and we couldn't be more happy with how it works.

The gate is located in our hallway, which is 60" wide, and this extension makes it fit perfectly. No drilling was needed, it is tension mounted, and has been very sturdy. We've been using it since June. With 4 people and two dogs the gate is used A LOT and has held up very well. Only as occasional adjustment to the tension has been needed to keep the door swinging closed.
great gate
I had to fill a 89" space and it was hard to find a gate that could extend that long. This dreambaby gate is perfect! It took 4 extensions, but it works!
Excellent product
Works very well with the dream baby gate. No problems with it. Sturdy construction.

EcoPlus Commercial Air 1 - 18 Watts Single Outlet

Great Hydro Pump
I had plants in deep water culture which began showing the signs of oxygen deprivation. I was running a couple of those wally-world pumps and it wasn't getting the job done. This pump has taken care of all that, with air to spare. As for sound, it is a touch louder than the two household pumps, but not too bad at all. If you're growing in a living space, such as your bedroom or living room, it's probably too loud. But if your grow area is in your basement or a closet, you'll never notice it. I highly recommend this pump for DWC. **** The brass air outlet is NOT standard aquarium air line size, it's a size up - but the deal comes with a 6" piece of hose and the gang valve that DOES reduce down to standard airline size. If you plan on going from the pump directly to your own gang valve assembly, you'll need to pick up a reducer at the hardware store.
air 1 commercial air pump
The Air 1 Commercial Air pump is a great and durable product. I have had one running in my koi pond for 3 years now, non-stop, winter and summer, 24 hours a day and it is still going strong. Never had any trouble with it at all. Very powerful for the size and very quiet. Bought a second one for an additional pond.
Powerful
I bought this for my koi pond, the heat here in the summer is pretty intense and I felt the fish would benefit from some extra oxygen! I first tested it inside. When I turned it on it sounded like a freight train! Of course my first thought was this is not going to be good!! However once I got it all installed outside the noise was minimal. Between the filter, the water falls, the birds singing etc you could not hear it. It really is powefful and my fish love it, they love hanging out in all the bubbles. The air stone is 6 inches in diameter and works very well.IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE AIR STONE YOU MUST PURCHASE THE STONE SEPERATELY.

I purchased a small plastic container melted a hole for the tubing and another for the power cord and enclsoed the pump inside the container so it will not become wet. It also comes with a bar that has 5 ports on it so you can hook up several air stones at at time if you wish.

Highly recommend

Chew Proof Sm An High Rise

So glad we found this product! Great buy so far!

Great way to add space for your critter!
After reading some of the prior reviews, I was a little concerned about the quality of this product, but I have to say, it met and exceeded my expectations, especially for the very reasonable price! Our hamster has been desperately trying to escape her 10 gallon glass aquarium home - too small and cramped. But we did NOT want one of the plastic homes. Prior experience tells me that they become chew toys and end up with sharp edges and holes in the walls. Also didn't want to spend tons of money on a huge new cage.

Our product came exactly as pictured. I wonder if prior reviewers were expecting it to come with the 10 gallon aquarium part - it does not, and the description makes that very clear. You need to buy the glass aquarium separately, and they are very cheap at most pet stores. It was very easy to assemble, less than five minutes. We did not need zip ties or any other supplemental wiring or connectors. I do have to note that it does not fit perfectly across the...

Gentle Leader Deluxe Head Collar and Leash, Medium, Baubles/Deep Purple

Better than a trainer
My poodle is obedience trained, yet highly reactive to other dogs when we are out for a walk. She barks, pulls, whines. We hired a behavioral expert for 100's of dollars and followed the positive reward systems we learned to no avail. Then we tried this collar and everything is better! Skip the trainer and buy this product. Word of advice: watch the instructional video. You need it to use the collar properly.

This is a great product! Our 5 month old Golden Retriever is a totally different pup when on walks using the Gentle Leader. He responds easily and well to commands and has no problem with it even when playing at the park. Simply take off the leash and he romps with all the other dogs.
Great, but not for a determined dog
My pup is a really determined dog. I began using this when a dog trainer personally fitted it to her and it really did work excellent. In fact to this day, she has walked her best on the gentle lead head collar. The only problem I had was that once in a while, not often, she would pull. After awhile I noticed it was starting to wear on her nosal, leaving a patch of no fur and a sore beginning to form. I felt so aweful and quit using it that day. I have had the gentle lead harness since then and although it isn't as effective, I was able to have a bit more control than just using a collar. But now I think that one is starting to hurt her under her front legs. So now I am in search of something else. My dog really does great on walks, it is just when other dogs get close and she wants to greet them. Although, we almost have her trained out of that, too, so maybe eventially we will be done using any type of training collar/harness.

Dreambaby Pressure Mount Hallway Gate with Extensions, White

wonderful
we needed a gate to fit in between the kitchen and livingroom which a little larger space than normal. i spent alot of time reserching gates about 2 months and i decided on this one, and i am so glad i did. it is perfect. it only took me about 20 mintues to set it up and get it right. we have it about 1/2 an inch of the floor so just in case it did slip or something it would not scratch the hardwood floor. it shuts great, opens great and locks great. my 14 month old son loves it to because he can see through it so he knows what is going on in the other room, the gate does shut by itself but i think that is good if you want to keep it open just put a shoe in front of the door and there you go its open. i love it love it love it, way worth every little penny. i would recommend this product to anyone and everyone. it is also not bulky looking and it looks nice when it is up not like most gates. it is pressure mounted so no screws in your wall. and if you have to you can still step over...
GREAT product, definitely worth the money 1.5 years later!
This is a great product and a great place to buy it. We currently have this gate in a 48" doorway, and our 20-month-old rather rambunctious daughter has yet to break out or tear it down. (Yes, of course, she has tried!) It was relatively easy to set up (probably easier than most of the baby toys I've put together). It is easy to get in and out of, mainly because the door swings both ways. I do not particularly love that the door is hinged with a spring, however; there have been some close calls with fingers almost getting pinched. The spring also makes it difficult to keep the door open without installing an eye hook in a nearby wall to attach it to with string (or, like us, those baby rings they sell for hanging baby items so that kids can't choke themselves with it). Still, I'm amazed at the gate's ability to withstand lots of abuse but still maintain top quality function. We chose not to screw it into the wall and only use the sticky pads that lock it in place when you're setting...
High quality, couldn't get it to fully adjust properly
This item appeared to be made very well. It fit the space perfect and the door automatically closed and latched. The one issue is that the top latch never properly aligned and locked. Pressure mounted gates require you to tighten the gate in order for the door to line up and appear off before pressure is applied (this wasn't the first pressure gate I've installed). This one did partially lock but the top latch never aligned to fully lock, so I wasn't comfortable leaving the gate in place. The item has since been returned to Amazon and I'm not sure whether to try another or not. I do prefer the The First Years Hands Free Gate instead but will have to purchase extensions in order to use this. I also like the fact that the First Years gate doesn't automatically close the door in case I want to leave the area opened (I'll probably change my tune on this when my daughter is older).

Advantek The Stilt House Rabbit Hutch

Feedback for Advantek The Stilt House Rabbit Hutch
I love it! The product was easy to put together and my rabbit seems to be very happy living in it.
Milton Hilton
This is a nice hutch if you need to cage your rabbit at night or when you're not home. I can't say it would definitely be good as an outdoor hutch, but it's pretty sturdy.
There are only a couple issues I had:

-Assembly was a huge pain. The wood didn't have holes for the screws, so I basically had to make my own with the screwdriver and elbow grease. It's soft wood so I didn't need a drill.
-It also doesn't have a floor at all. When I read "Includes pull out tray for easy cleaning", I assumed that it came with a tray underneath to catch the droppings, like many hutches have. After putting it together I realized they are referring to the top floor of the hutch, which is not in a square so it sticks out awkwardly. You can see it in the picture, but it sticks out more than you think.

Otherwise It's a cute hutch, it's a good size and Milton seems to like it.
My rabbit loves it!!!
My rabbit loves to run up and down the ramp! He has chewed up other wooden homes but he does not chew this on (maybe a little on the ramp) I love this house and so does Charlie

Petmate Stainless Style Bowl Medium, Black/Stainless Steel

Just right!
I bought this bowl for my cat. Initially I was very nervous as I had read a couple of other reviews saying that it was too big for cats, but honestly there aren't a lot of choices on Amazon for this style of pet bowl, so I picked it up anyway.

I got it in the mail yesterday and all my worries were put to rest. Unless you have a teeny, tiny cat, this bowl is just the right size. It holds a good serving of food without threatening to overflow. It also looks very clean and streamlined, unlike my previous pottery-style bowls which tended to look very clunky and silly.

The functionality of the non-skid on the bottom is just a delight. I put it down on the linoleum and was very gratified to hear and feel it thump straight down without sliding at all. The cat ate voraciously out of it last night and it didn't move an inch.

A great bowl at a great price. Highly recommended.

*important note: If you have linoleum, put down a mat under this bowl...
Great bowls
Loved the bowls! Easy to clean. Can remove stainless steel bowl out from rest of bowl. Heavy enough to stay put, not pushed around by my Boston.
Perfect for your pets!
My little puppy uses these dishes for his food and water. I love that they have a grip on the bottom so that they don't move around. My cat also likes his water bowl. They share it all the time.

Herm Sprenger Extra Heavy Pinch Collar, 20-Inch, 3.8-Mm

Great for dog's that pull while walking.
I have a 9 month old 75 pound Rottweiler.
She has been walking on a leash since she was 2 months.
As she grew older and stronger controlling the walk became more
and more work. Slip leashes or traditional choke chains were not doing the job.
For the most part she is very well behaved, however when a smell
catches her attention she will jerk away from our stride to try and check it out.

I saw this type of a collar used by Cesar on "The dog whisperer" for dogs that need to have their tugging corrected.
Since purchasing this Sprenger collar her behavior is nearly perfect during our nightly walks.
While it looks a bit like a mid age torture device it's not. It simply distributes the force in a more productive way. Previously she
would be wheezing and gagging with the other collars, now the Sprenger there is none of that. It's a very high quality product made in Germany.
I purchased a size that she can grow into as the link's are...
Works perfectly!
Strong pit bull that pulls hard but with this collar she doesn't pull. Well, if there are oter dogs around she does still tug but nothing like it used to be! Highly recommend!
Very good quality.
This is a very substantial well-constructed collar that will last for many years. I bought this for my pit bull to stop him from pulling and to better control him. It does give me more control, and it put a stop to the pulling by the second time I used it. But I recently switched to a martingale with similar results. The martingale seems more humane.

Pet Studio Pine Frame Dog RampSteps, 2 Step

Stargazer
Wide and deep steps and a very solid base make this THE BEST on the market, and I have purchased quite a few! The fact that these are collapsible for easy storage, and that they can also be used as a ramp make this an extraordinarily wonderful item. Add to this the fact that they are very attractive and the wood is heavy and I am THRILLED! In fact, as soon as I received these steps, I ordered another for a different area of the house. Because they were so stable and the steps so large, my Beagle took to them immediately with no training at all. Only thing I would change would be the color of the carpet. Although the carpet appears tan in the photos, the carpet is actually rosy pink. . .not my favorite color. It is easy enough to change the carpet, so I will do that. Of course, my Beagle could care less what color the carpet is. . .he just appreciates being able to access his favorite sleeping places without pain. THANK YOU PET STUDIO!!!
Excellent Product
This product is well worth the money! I have a 78 lb, 14 year old Weimararner that can no longer jump into the back seat of my Nissan 4 door sedan. After trying another product purchased at a pet store and having to return it, I was not very positive about her accepting this new trick. The product is very well made and she trusted using it because it is solid and stays put. It didn't take too many training sessions with treats. The ramp option did not work for her since she is a large dog. The steps work perfect. While on a very long road trip with her, the construction of this product allows very quick set-up and easy storage to just slide into the trunk on top of everything. I highly recommend this quality product!
Our dog agrees: a winner!
After much research, I chose these steps because they're wider and more substantial than the cheaply made little plastic steps sold everywhere. I'm very pleased. It was wonderful to see our 8 lb pup hop up the steps as soon as they were set up. I agree with other reviewers about the color of the carpet--not beige, but rosy. Not the most attractive color, but not a deal breaker. The wood is attractive.

DuraPet Slow Feed Dog Bowl Size: Small

Slows down my dog
I bought this bowl for a black lab who inhales his food. It's definitely slowed him down. After hearing sad stories of dogs who died from the Bloat I was anxious to find a bowl that would slow my dog down. What I like about this particular bowl is that it's not made of lightweight plastic, the weight of the stainless steel helps it to stay put, along with a non-slip rubber grip on the base of the bowl. It stays in place and doesn't end up tipped over or pushed under the cabinet toe-kick. Plastic bowls get scratched up on the inside after so much use, you don't have that problem with stainless steel. And you never really know if there's bacteria on the plastic, with stainless steel it's easy to steralize.
Good for a ravenous pug
Since adopting a second pug (Henry), our first pug (Beatrice) suddenly became somewhat food aggressive. She'd eat her food as fast as possible then try to hoard in on Henry's dish. We started feeding her about thirty seconds after feeding Henry, but watching her shiver with anticipation started to feel cruel. This bowl seemed like a good solution - and it is. This bowl slowed down her eating dramatically. We now feed them at the same time and Henry finishes first! One thing to note, however: because Bea really has to get in there to get the food (kibble mixed with wet food), the wet food would get stuck in her wrinkles, requiring some post-dinner clean up.
slow feeder
These bowls slow down the dog's eating habit. They are easy to clean and stack. I also like the way the rubber on the bottom keeps the bowls from skidding.

Ideal Pet Products Plastic-Aluminium Replacement Flap, Med NS

doggie door flap
I am very pleased with my purchase. I had a new door installed with a doggie flap. I had to replace the flap & went back to the store that put it in to order a new one. When it came,it was a different manufacturer. Thank goodness for Amazon, I found the right one. It came earlier than expected & I installed it & fits great.
Perfect pet door
This is a great replacement for our pet door. We had the previous flap for several years but our young puppy decided to chew it a bit. This replacement was very easy to install and I believe it will last for several years to come.
Great dog door cover
My old one was about to fall off. This one fit perfect. The service was great and it was easy to install.

YML 20-Inch Open Top Parrot Cage with Stand, Black

Another great cage at a great bargin
This is the largest of the 4 cages I bought from this seller and we are completly satisfied with this purchase. We purchased this cage for 2 quakers and there is not only enought for them but room for their toys. I had priced cages at the local pet store and was shocked that I could not only get a bigger cage but more cage for the money with this seller.

Assembly was not as fast as the other three that we had to put together but that may be because we were putting 4 cages together at the same time.

This cage is heavy and that is a good thing because when the quakers start flying around and jumping around, there is no worry that they will move their cage around like they did in the other cage.

The stand is also a nice touch and we can move them around with ease.

If you are looking for a nice large cage at a great price, this is the cage for you
Great Cage...But!

Written directions Please!
The cage though not exactly what I wanted, has served its purposes for almost a year now. Written directions on assembly would have been a welcome addition to the cage, but once I figured it out I felt foolish for being so upset about the missing assembly instructions. I have three cockatiels in this cage, and they have plenty of room. The pan at the bottom is plastic and at first I did not like this, but I now see that it easier to clean, and it will not rust.

Canine Friendly High Visibility Dog Vest, Medium

Not a good choice for use in the woods
I bought a Size XL for my 70 lb German Shepherd dog, which I think is the right size for him, though it ends 2 or 3 inches above the tail. He had this vest on for exactly 5 minutes before returning with 4 holes in it. I was at first pleased with my purchase, as the fabric is soft and seems comfortable. The back shifts back and forth as the dog runs, but I suppose as long as it stays on, that's OK. However, this vest's soft and lightweight open weave fabric is not appropriate for running through the woods where there are branches and bushes that can snag. So if you are using this in an open area only, it might be OK for your dog, but definitely is not a good choice for rural settings. I will have to replace the vest, so this was not a good purchase for me.
Sizing on chart is not accurate
When purchasing this for our dog we initially bought the extra large. We have a 65lb lab and while he is short his chest is broad. We measure his chest and length along the back and according to the sizing chart he should have been an extra large, When it arrived it was huge on him. The velcro at the front for his chest area was on the tightest it could be, but it still slid to the side as the I couldn't get it tight enough on the waist and it was also way too long on him hanging over his tail. The measurements don't seem to be quite right, even though our dog fit into the x-large category for chest and length it was way too big. He does tend to narrow from the chest to his hips, but even still it was too long and even the chest velcro had trouble keeping him tight. I do give this 4 stars as once we got the large it fits him great, it doesn't slide off to the side or twist, it is very comfortable for him to run in and it is so light weight he truly has no idea he has it on. It has a...
Mesh Highly Visible Dog Vests
This is such an amazing vest. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but it's mesh- which means very breathable so if your pets are very furry, they should not get hot and you should be able to use it year round.

I have three - so here are my comments on sizing:

medium - fit my australian Shepherd - she is about 45 pounds.

large - fit my husky no problem - he is about 60 pounds. It is a little bit snug on my Australian Shepherd male mix -he is about 75-80 pounds- I wish I would have opted for an XL, so it would have been just a tad bigger, but it definitely does the trick.

I opted for this vest for two reasons- one because of the velcro- I didn't have to worry about trying to slip this over their head and sense all of them are slightly different in size, if I grab the wrong one, it is easily adjustable.

The other reason I opted for this one, was the long, wide reflective strip. It is really visible from afar, and when you are up...

Dasuquin for small/medium dogs with MSM , 84-Count

Skeptical but Happily Surprised!
Our older Golden Retriever, Xander, had been having a lot of difficulty with his hip. He was becoming an extra "throw rug". We did not want to keep him on prescription pain meds, cause he was out of it constantly. I read the reviews for this product and was skeptical. However, after 3 weeks there has been such an improvement. No, he is not like a puppy again. However, he is playing with tennis balls again, chasing our 10 month old German Shephard around, and running up and down stairs with me (household chores) again! He is still having some issues of getting up from a laying position, but the improvement so far is remarkable. Take it from a major skeptic- this stuff is GOLDEN. You won't be disappointed. If you have a pet that you love and want to see them have relief - this is it!
A Miracle For My Newfoundland!
Our 9 year old Newfoundland started having difficulty going up and down the stairs and would limp around after getting up from lying down on the floor. We took him to our vet and he prescribed Tramadol for his pain and gave us MSM powder to add to his food once a day. He did have some minimal improvement but it just wasn't what he deserved. I spoke with some friends of ours who have an older Newf also and found out that they had been dealing with the same problems with their dog's mobility. They shared some of this product that they had gotten from their vet with us to try. After only 3 days, our Newf was running around like he did when he was two years old! He no longer grunts or whines when he lays down or stands up and he races up and down the stairs. I have cut back on his Tramadol from 125mg per day to just 50 mg per day and I'm beginning to believe that we can probably stop it all together without any problem. I purchased the product through Amazon because my vet said that he...
The best on the market today
My vet recommended this product to help my 6 yr old large Lab heal from a ligament injury. We are holding off on the surgery to see if Conservative Management will help, so I am giving him a few supplements to aid in tissue-healing, muscle-building, etc. I had been giving him Glyco-Flex II up to this point, since he was about 3 years old, and the vet thinks that has certainly helped up to now, however we wanted something stronger. This seems to be the best product on the market right now. I've seen other products, like GlycoFlex III, with the new formulation, but since my vet recommended this, I'm using it. I also did some research on CCL injuries, and many folks reported they are using this product.

ABO Gear Fun Tunnel for Cats

Great for kittens, not adult cats
This cat tunnel is well made and would have been a perfect toy for my cats, except that the diameter of the tunnel is too small. I would recommend this for kittens only, not for adult cats.
Cat tunnel -YOU HAVE TO GET THIS FOR YOUR CATS!!!
Product was shipped very quickly. The 7 members of the Siamese Mafia are in complete approval..this tunnel is purrrffect! Very tough material both inside and out, and it is very dark inside. (great for hiding! from other cats) The extra long length and 2 skylights allow multiple cats to engage others in and outside the tunnel...sneak attacks are the rule here. Made of Much Heavier & Tougher material than I expected-but needs to be very tough when 7 cats are using it on a daily basis. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! All 7 Siamese Mafia members give this product a TOP CAT toy rating. If my cats cannot destroy this-yours can't either! Hint: put yout cat toys inside for them to find and include lots of catnip.
Good product
I just received this item a few days ago, so I do not yet have a lot of experience with it. My 13 pound cat appears to like it, however, and the tunnel looks just as pictured on the product page. Mostly, I wanted to post a review to say that the 13 pound adult cat fits in the tunnel with room to spare. He fits in and out of at least one of the "port holes" in the top of the tunnel as well. All of which is to say that this is an appropriate toy for medium to large (but perhaps not obese) adult cats.

Oster 78005-010 Golden A5 Single-Speed Clippers

Why didn't I buy this sooner?
After using a wonderful hand-me-down Oster Lucky Dog clipper on my Australian Shephard/Lab mix (medium length hair, VERY thick coat), the clippers finally gave up and it was time to find another clipper. Since my dog has such a thick coat I did not want to purchase underpowered clippers and deal with the resulting frustration. I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase the Golden A-5 Single Speed Clipper with a #10 blade. After receiving the clipper I took my dog outside for her first trim with a new clipper. Her coat had grown about two inches since her last cut, and I was expecting to have a similar cutting experience to that of the Lucky Dog- I was not expecting what actually happened. I began to clip my dog, and the clipper really did go through her coat like a hot knife through butter- suddenly the 40 minute job (I have a squirmy dog) was cut in half- to be fair, it took 15 minutes at the most. The noise is not loud, and the dog did not seem to mind the clippers at...
The Clippers The Pro Use
The Oster A5 is professional grade. We are dog breeders with five adult dogs, and when we have a litter of puppies there are days where I might clip ten or more dogs in an afternoon.

You might be wondering why not just get the less expensive single-speed A-5. The answer is that the high speed cuts the best, but the low-speed makes less noise. So, for dogs who are scared by the clippers, use the low-speed when you are working around the face or ears. It's less intimidating to the dog. Then kick it in to high speed for the rest of the job.

The other review I read about this product complained that the Oster A-5 worked great out-of-the-box, but then stopped working well after a few uses. This is a typical complaint from users who do not read the owners manual. The manual makes it quite clear that this will happen if you do not properly clean and lubricate the blades after each use. Also, it's helpful to buy a can of Kool-Lube and spray some of that on to the...
Recommende for CATS ! U.S.A. MADE !!!!!!!
Recommended by my veterinarian for clipping Persian Cats I breed, I also highly recommend this clipper.

It will clip off even severe Persian cat matting.
It is to be used with Oster #7 Blade. (if you are interested in grooming hard to clip long hair and double haired cats, especially Persian cats.

Again, I'd like to mention it is Made In America !

SportDOG YardTrainer 105 Dog Trainer, SD-105

Sport Dog Shock Collar-BRILLIANT!
We recently purchased the Sport Dog shock collar. Me being the reluctant female(thinking..."ohhhh...how cruel", and my husband being ever so reassuring that it really would be beneficial, AND he would test it on himself(be he ever so manly...I had to see that one!)... We bought it for the sole intent of gaining immediate and definitive control of our then 7 month old/70lb doberman pup, since we have two children roughly the same size as the dog with the dog soon to surpass them in size. Setting 1 did absolutely nothing, setting 2...well, dog ran around confused after the correction. Setting 3 definitely got his full attention. I was a believer after using this the first couple of times that it is VERY VERY effective in a good way. The best part is the warning tone... you give the corrective command, and when dog does not respond, you beep then immediately give the corrective shock(what really amounts to a strong static shock from walking across the carpet and touching another...
Sport Dog Yard Trainer ***EXCELLENT***
I did a lot of research on these before I purchased one for my cocker spaniel. Many of the other products out there, at $20-$50 less, had great reviews BUT when you looked at the actual review, the products had many problems (distance less than expected, batteries wearing out quickly, not working at all after a few months, etc.). It appeared as if they were scored high because the dogs stopped doing what the owners wanted and therefore rated thier experience as good even thought the product failed.
My dog was quite well behaved but at one year old, I still struggled with "come" and "stay" and he also didn't walk consistently well and when excited would constantly pull on the leash. THIS PRODUCT HAS TURNED HIM INTO THE PERFECT DOG!!!
At first, he wore it all day and I used it for every command. I followed the directions carefully and combined my command with the tone and then correction when he did not listen. He now only wears it when we walk or are just hanging out in...
my yard trainer results
I ordered the yard trainer for my LAB. We go to the park Monday thru Saturday mornings and walk with other dog walkers and their dogs. Our dogs are allowed to run free, and they love it. My dog was the only one who kept her nose on the ground and ate everything from paper to poop. The trainer has helped a great deal, but we're not "there" yet. Only one problem so far. When it is cold (below 20 degrees or so), it freezes up and won't stay "on" or won't even turn on. Come warm weather, I hope to see more improvement both in her disgusting eating habit as well as her obedience.

Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Soccer Ball

3 out of 4 Paws
First Impression: Well the people over at Planet Dog heard about my website and decided I should test some of their toys. Puppy `o puppy am I glad they did! I saw this on their website about two months ago and I've been wanting to try it ever since. Dad says that the Orbee toys are made of an injection molded "thermo plastic elastomer." Whatever... Basically the ball is strong, hollow, and has holes at both ends. This toy has a hole about 1 inch in diameter at one end, so you could put some dog treats inside, the other hole is much smaller about 3/8 of an inch. They are very flexible - I can easily crush the ball, but it just pops back out to it's normal shape. All of the Orbee toys they sent me have a strong peppermint smell. I personally really like it; I was licking the ball at first... Of course they are bouncy, and apparently they also float! Dad also mentioned that when it's hot during the summer we can freeze them to help keep me cool..

Conclusion: I've managed to...
BUY THIS TOY!!!
This ball is awesome! I have a 3 year old (30 lb.) pembroke welsh corgi and he LOVES it so much! I had been looking for a ball that was about 6" in diameter that he wouldn't puncture with his teeth and would be the right size for him to kick or pick up. It smells minty and there's a one inch hole in it that allows him to pick it up and carry it around! He can't puncture it because the material it is made out of is super durable. KUDOS for making such an awesome product that my little chewer has yet to be able to destroy!!!
My 85lb German Shepherd pup much approves!
Not a regular sized soccer ball, smaller and much Tougher. It is hollow and can be filled with treats. It bounces off windows and walls leaving no mark. I was much surprised when my dog choose the ball over a walk! I finally found her favorite toy.

Thundershirt Behavior Modification Shirt For Dogs - XSmall - Grey

Amazing!!
I highly recommend this! Got it for my dog because she was a mess the week before the 4th of July--panting, shaking and following me around wanting me to hold her all night as soon as the first firework went off. Put the shirt on a couple times the day we got it before the fireworks started and then again before it got dark. The difference was absolutely amazing. My neighbors shot off all kinds of huge fireworks--some of which shook the windows and the dog was laying on the couch sleeping--anxiety gone. So great to know that she will not have to be stressed out all week next year before the 4th!
Instant Behavior Modification
I purchased this for my 1 year old shih tzu. He isn't afraid of storms or loud noises, but has car ride anxiety. He used to back away from me with his tail between his legs when he knew he was getting ready to go in the car. Once in the car, he will sit, completely motionless, for the duration of the ride. His longest trip was 3 hours and the entire time he wouldn't lay down, sleep, or relax, whether he was in my lap or in a crate.
I decided to try the Thundershirt and the first time I put it on him and put him in the car, he actually looked around, took a couple of steps, and seems much more relaxed. Each time I use it he seems to become a little more calm and relaxed. I am very pleased with this product!
Thunder Shirt
I find the shirt of some help with my dogs nervousness when riding in the car. He appears calmer with no shaking.

PetEdge Stainless Steel Dental Pet Double-Ended Twin Scaler with Curved Spade-Shaped End

Be a dog dentist with this awesome tool!!!
Have always been picky with my dogs (2 Rotty's) teeth and gums. Religiously brush them 3x's/week. It has largely eliminated bad breath and gum problems. Nevertheless, my girl, suprisingly, started to develope some scaling in her rear incisors last year, and, although I thought they would get removed with the brushing, it remained. During a visit to the vet earlier this year, she actually lent me this tool and taught me how to scrape the placque. She let me do this as I wasn't about to have my girl "knocked out" for a tooth procedure. After the purchase, have since kept the dogs dental hygiene in superlative condition. This scaler has two sides which both allow entry into the tightest of spaces, including the areas behind the 4 rear-most molars. Definitely recomended for dog-lovers who want to prevent gum disease and achieve that perfect smile (and breath!!!!).
Well made item
Good product - I just received it and use it a few times a week to gently scrape plaque off a few times a week from my dogs teeth....great to use with Plaque Off product.
great dental tool!
I recently purchased this dental tooth scaler for our dogs. I am very pleased with it so far. It is a good size and, being double ended, easy to get into the more difficult to reach spaces. It came quickly and was well packed.

Fluval Edge 25W Compact Heater

Worked well for two months, then quit.
I bought this heater for my 5 gallon planted shrimp tank. It fits perfectly into the tank, hides well in a corner (it is black, straight and designed to fit into a corner) and hands-free. No adjustments necessary and keeps my tank temperature well within acceptable range. Has a dim red light that is only visible when tank light is off. I like it that it is completely submersible and unobtrusive. Many of my friends have been impressed with its sleek style and the fact that it really doesn't look like a heater. If I felt like hiding it even more I could put it near the bottom of the tank, but I choose to leave it upright. My shrimp like to hang out on the top of it near the water's surface.

For the price, you won't find a better submersible heater for a small tank. Many would like to be able to adjust the temperature on the heater, but I have never had a problem with it. The suction cups will change color, graying over time, but they stick well and I haven't had any trouble...
Heater works great!
The heater is designed to only adjust the aquarium temp no more than 7 degrees higher than the ambient air temp. This is stated plainly in the instructions. Works perfect on my 6 gallon Fluval tank. It is keeping the tank temp at 76 steady. We keep the thermostat in our house at 70. Very nice looking heater, blends in with the tank background perfectly.
Okay
Keeps the 5 gallon chi between 72-74. But I don't think my Betta minds. I've had the heater since December 2011

Buddeez 12-1/2-Gallon Roll-Away Pet Food Dispenser with Scoop

Just what we were looking for
When this container arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the forty-pound bags of dry dog food we buy at Costco fit into it perfectly, coming right up to the top of the bin. It's very convenient to store the food still in the bag, but not have to close the bag with a clip after every serving. Just cut the entire top off the bag and lower it into the container.

As for the container itself, it seems to be very well designed. I was worried about buying one the bins that have four wheels on casters...the casters just seemed like a weak spot to me. This bin is designed like a rollaboard suitcase, with recessed wheels on one end only, perfect for rolling the bin around but allowing it to sit flat on the floor otherwise. The handle is molded right into the container and is very sturdy.

The lid is a clever design, with two hinge points. First, the entire lid is hinged at one end to allow the insertion and removal of the food bags. Second, as you can see in the...
The cat hates it!
I buy dog kibble in 30 lbs bags. The brand I buy has no ziplock closure, but I was keeping it in the pantry. One fine day, the CAT snuck into the pantry, crawled completely inside the dog food bag and emerged some hours later, at least ten pounds heavier and almost comatose. He is a rescue cat and eats compulsively due to his miserable childhood. Or, at least, that's his excuse and he's sticking by it.

So I wanted something that would seal securely (sorry, Kitty) and was easy to move around. This container is like a Tupperware on steroids; a large flip top flips up and latches closed (tightly!) and there's even a 1 cup scoop, like a measuring cup. That's good as the dog eats 2 cups per serving. It is BPA-free (healthier plastic.) The 30lb bag slips right inside easily and I can wheel it right over to the dog's dish and serve the dog with no spills.

The cat hates it.
Great buy, exactly what I needed.
It's a convenient way to store your pets food without needing to dump it out.

The quality is much higher than the caster versions you see and the lid has an actual seal that keeps air and bug out.

I love the build in scoop and door on top so you don't have to take the whole top off to get at the food.

It's a few dollars more than the caster models but seems like it's going to last a lot longer and I think the extra features make it very worth the money.

Kyjen Dog Games Puzzle Treat Triad

3 Goldens - 3 Different interest levels
We have 3 Goldens (3, 6 and 11 years old). The 11 yo gets the treats by picking up the entire puzzle, jumping up on the couch and gently removing the yellow pieces that cover the part that holds the treats. Despite being a chow-hound, our 6 yo could care less and didn't even "get" that she needed to spin the red piece. The 3 yo male simply paws at the toy until he can get the yellow pieces off by swatting at them. The toy has taken a lot of abuse by him and the yellow pieces snap back on easily. Maybe we should consider adopting a Border Collie next time... ;-)
Dog snout doesnt fit!!
Our Lab puppy was able to figure out how to turn the red bar and left the dispenser lids, but the angle of the treat pod is such that she can't fit her snout, or manuvuer her tongue very well to get the food. Even turning her snout sideways didn't help. The idea has promise but unfortunately the design is lacking. We'll keep trying but it doesnt really hold her interest since she can't get the reward.
This toy is not good for strong does.
Well maybe my dogs are geniuses or just really, really strong. Their strategy for this game is to flip it over with their paws and all the food fall out. Game over!!!

Pet Gear Travel-Lite Tri-Fold Pet Ramp for cats and dogs up to 200-pounds, Pet Ramp, Chocolate/Black

Seniors, think twice!
I just returned this product, but not because of any defect or quality issue. I am a mid-50's woman that found it to be much too unwieldly to fold and unfold a 3 section ramp. Even though it is fairly lightweight, you do have to hold it away from your body to fold and unfold. That put too much strain on my neck and back. I have since ordered the "Solvit" bifold ramp which is much easier for me to handle, stow away, etc. It is a few inches shorter than the tri-fold, but for my situation (much less strain on my back and neck) it was the better solution.
Have Dog-- Now Can Travel!
My 12 year old Lab was afraid to jump in and out of my SUV after hurting her leg doing just that. After much shopping around, this is a perfect solution at a great price. It's solid and secure with the hook-on belt and she walks right up with me next to her. Be sure to get your pet used to the ramp by having them walk across it a few times while flat. Folds up compactly to take with you. Very pleased with this product.
We like it!
Our Black lab got use to this after practicing with it laying flat on the living room floor, then, after she was comfortable, laid the ramp end on a large chair. If we didn't do this prep training, I believe our lab would not have cooperated in using the ramp. Our lab was getting "fixed" so I didn't want her jumping out of our SUV after her operation. My S.O., myself and lots of our puppy's favorite treats got her comfortable using the ramp. This process took about 2 evenings at about 15 minutes each. I still did a couple of practice sessions in the living room to keep her refreshed and reinforce the training before her operation.

I like the Tri-fold so it doesn't take up as much space and that it is not heavy. There are only 2 things I didn't like. First, the latch/hook is a cheap piece of plastic which will break if I am not extra careful - I will fabricate a metal latch which will not be a big deal for me. Second, I feel this thing should have a decent handle to...

Evenflo Expansion Swing Wide Gate

Great for Dogs
We've had one of these gates for years and recently needed another one after we adopted a new dog. The gate is tall enough that dogs respect it -- once they realize what it's there for. Most of our dogs have jumped over it at first.

The advantage to this gate is that you don't have to step over anything to go through the gate, unlike most other gates on the market now. It glides open easily. The installation is easy, too.
Versatile!
Just what it claims and more! Extremely versatile, rather easy to install, easy to use. Can swing from either side, hooks hold it in the position you want. Easily adjustable width. Keeps pets in (or out). Looks nice too.
Works great...
We are using the gate on our bedroom door to keep our boys (two felines) out of the bed at night. It swings flat against wall and stays out of the way when not in use.

Zoo Med Laboratories SZMLT10 Repti Day Night Timer

Set it and forget it!
This keeps our snake on a schedule without having to remember, or be home, at the same time each morning and night. Just what we expected
Works as Advertised
This product has worked exactly as it says it will. Not having to worry about turning on and off lights is great.
Zoo Med Lab Repti Day Night Timer
Great product. I liked my two so much and had no problem with them that I bought two more for my granddaughter. Makes it nice when you want to run both a day and night bulb. I use one of mine with a dimmer on the night side so I can adjust the heat. On the other I use it with a small red bulb so I can see my thumbnail frog in the dark but don't want heat. Several situation you can use it for.

K&H Outdoor Kitty House, Unheated

Perfect For My (My Cat's) Needs
I usually wait to write a review to try out the product. I have only had this for two days but I can tell this one does not require a trial period. as soon as I assembled (which was very easy) and put it on the porch my cold cat flocked to it and seemed to be thanking me with exuberance over his new warm shelter. I would not put this out in the yard without at least some kind of covering because I'm sure even in a mild rain the inside would get soaked, plus it helps if you can put it close to an outlet so you can plug it in. That being said my porch will get wet in a heavy rain, and this house is made of a water resistant material that I am confident will keep the cat dry even when the porch gets wet. It is smaller than you would think by looking at the photos, but my cat is approx 20 lbs and he fits in there fine. For me the small but practical size is a bonus because I don't have a huge eyesore on my front porch, and the cat gets to be warm and dry.
A bit smaller than I expected.
Easy to assemble - might be o.k. for what I intended --- which is to leave outdoors for strays that I feed. "Heated Outdoor Kitty House" to me means that it is an outdoor house ... in reading the carton it appears that it is outdoor for your porch or an out building ... I don't have a porch or out building to put it in. So I'll see how this works out as it gets colder. Almost big enough for one cat ...
Not what I expected
My husband and I have a stray cat that has adopted us. We don't want him in the house (I have allergies and we don't want shredded furniture). My husband made a shelter, but we wanted to get something for the winter months. I read the reviews of this house and thought it would work. First, my husband had trouble putting it together. He put it ouside overnight, plugged in. The next day he checked it and said it wasn't warm. So, he brought it inside and plugged it in. He said it was slightly warm, but only if he pressed down on the pad. The biggest problem was the cord length. We have an outdoor outlet, but the cord was too short and the directions said not to use an extension cord. The online description makes it sound like it can be used outdoors, but the directions say on a porch, etc. So, it really isn't meant to be used out in the weather. After all this we returned it and are of course out the return shipping. I think the description should say how long the cord is...

Oster A6 Heavy Duty Pet Clipper

Comparing Oster A6 to Oster A5

A comparison to the Classic 76 for human hair

Oster Clipper
This is the one and only clipper to buy. I clipped 3 Cocker Spaniels in less than 2 hours with this new clipper. Do not waste your money on a cheaper clippers. You will be disappointed and have wasted the money you can use towards this one. Yes, I admit it is a bit expensive, but you will never need another clippers. It is very quiet and that is a super plus especially when you are starting out with a new puppy or an adoptable dog whose history you are not aware of. Spend the money and you will enjoy grooming whether you are new to the grooming scene or have been at it for years.

Absorbtion Corp Carefresh Shavings Plus Pet Bedding, 60-Liter

Good stuff
Is great bedding for my little guys, has some blue paper product mixed in but mostly shavings. Very vacuum packed, need a container of some sort once you open it up.
Good for the Money
I have been using one bag for a couple months and I still have more left. I have a small rabbit cage. I change the bedding every 3rd day. The bedding doesn't help with the odor but if its starting to smell it should be changed anyway. Its also compostable which is nice.
Best Value Bedding I've Found
Our Nibbles loves taking the soft blue pieces and building his little nest (usually inside his plastic wheel, silly hamster), but sometimes he'll move his nest to a different corner for a few hours.

Regarding the odor of the product, here in Missouri, freshly shaved wood bits don't cause cancer or require a respirator. They smell refreshingly like, um, trees.
