WORST PRODUCT EVER!
WORST PRODUCT EVER! Have bought this product twice and both times the stairs broke while my dog was on it!

Do not waste your money on this product! When I bought these steps I opened it up and the wooden piece on the bottom was not attached. I didn't think much of it. My dachshund puppy was a little afraid to use the steps at first. I finally got him brave enough to use them and shortly after the whole thing broke and collapsed with him on them and he even hit his little head on the way down. Almost every piece that could come unscrewed came apart. I've never bought something so poorly made!
Gets the job done.
The photo is slightly misleading -- the painted/stained color is more black than espresso, and the felt on the steps is a lighter gray, but it works well for our elderly arthritic cat, and it looks decent, especially for the price. I think it looks better than plastic steps, that is for certain. We use it for by the bed, or I move it to the window so she can sit in the sun. The overall height is pretty good and the steps were very easy for her to maneuver. If you are looking for pet steps for a smaller animal that won't cost you a fortune and blends in with dark woods, I do recommend this product.
Murphy's Law -- I saw this product at my local house ware store that had a big display of them for $6.00 less than the price I paid, just days after receiving ours from Amazon.
