Those Germans know how to engineer things! I've had a flexi before and the thing is 9 years old and still works fine. The XL giant is the Ferrari of Flexi. I like the tape instead of the cord and it's just smooth.
Top shelf gear, you won't be disappointed. It's also almost half the price of getting scammed by buying it in Canada. They pet store down the road wants $89 bucks for and XL Giant Flexi..........
Please be cautious when using this leash for Large Dogs
This was my second purchase of a Flexi leash, but the first belt type. I bought the corded leash at least seven years ago and it still works fine, but I wanted one longer to allow more roaming when walking in my own yard. I always use the leather leash when walking in public because I know it is more secure.
I'm not sure how the manufacturer determined the # of lbs that the leash supports, but beware because it did not hold my 90 lb German Shepherd from snapping the leash. It broke where the tape attaches to the snap hook.
When I first got the leash I thought wow look at the really nice large snap hook and the additional support where it attaches to the hook, plus I liked how it retracted all the way to the hook which is different than the corded type leash. PLEASE use caution and know that the leash will not support a 90lb dog.
Explosive K9 Handler
I use these retractable's with my explosive K9 detection in Iraq. I love them they are great and have zero problems during extreme useage. The only reason I purchased the 2nd one was in case for some reason I either lost my current one, someone decides they want it or for some unknown reason it stops working which I doult will happen.
