Who came up with lame design?
I got this feeding rock at a local pet store and after opening it wondered "Who came up with lame design?
1. It opens in half (more like 1/3rd & 2/3rd's) but both half's don't lock together when closed. It's VERY "Sloppy" when put back together and can very easily come apart if not held tightly especially for little kids hands.
2. I buy my Crickets in bulk and getting them in the rock is a joke! They jump all over the place because the opening is the size of my fist.
3. The plug that closes the hole could be easily misplaced.
I got around all the problems by gluing the rock together (you can also use rubber bands) and putting a funnel in the hole and then dropping the crickets down the funnel into the (now glued together) rock.
But if you use medium to large crickets the end of the funnel clogs up with crickets so I drilled a larger hole in the bottom and close it with a wine cork and I also bought a larger ended funnel...
every cricket for them selfs!
I really like the idea of this but I purchase 35 small crickets for my beardie and dumped them in and i couldnt close the bottom lid fast enough and oops like 15 got free...not cool. >:/
Good for looks... Not worth the money
Don't even bother buying this unless you feel as if you have money to waste... absolute waste of money... not even worth the $1 worth of crickets i used this with...
