Excellent!!
It took me some time to read most of the reviews regarding Retractable Corded leashes, because there are many brands and diffent opinions about it. My choice went with this one, and it is great. I use it almost everyday with my bulldog and is excellent. I do really recomended this product, because it looks very resistant and not too heavy to use!
Good, except for the cord
I got this to replace another Avenue leash we had that finally broke. I didn't realize there was a difference from the one we had (tape leash) and this (cord).
The leash works great and the length is great. The only issue I have with it is the cord. It is simply dangerous. If it gets caught on a person and pulled, it not only will give a good burn, but could dig in. It made a nice cut into our deck from the friction as well as giving my wife a little burn on her legs.
If you walk your dog alone or always make sure the dog is in front of you and react quickly if that changes, then this should be fine. But we've decided its not for us and have ordered the same thing with tape.
Very Disappointing
I got this for my 50 pound red heeler. We used it a few times with no problems, however once my dog saw a cat and started to run after it. This pulled the cord all of the way out of the holder and the exterior of the cord hung up on the outside of the holder and it's impossible to get it back in. It's just past the 30 days so I can't return it. Has to go in the trash. What a waste!
