The drawbacks to this item outweigh the benefits.
This product is nearly impossible to clean and sanitize. There is really no good way to clean it without it bending in weird ways and the bark breaks off. If not cleaned correctly it is the perfect hiding spot for parasites and will mold easily.
Snakes prefer hides that block more light than this hide can in order to feel safe. Something that touches them on all sides is much better.
Great!!
Purchased this for my Beardie. Even tho she doesn't use it as a hide she loves to sit on top of it. If you do purchase this make sure after removing the label you take the staple out that held it.

Overall I think it's a good product, my turtles love to bask on it and go under for privacy (or when I scare them : Will I buy again? Probably not, the stuff that grew on that isn't bark is pretty disgusting. The first time I washed it with water, a lot of bark came off and it dirties water very...
